2024 Home Run Baseball Camp Registration for Cape Cod

Camp Director – Brian Friedman

Our camp in Wellfleet is led by Brian Friedman (bio), a summer Wellfleet homeowner, who is the Athletic Director and Varsity Baseball coach at John Jay Campus in Park Slope Brooklyn. Brian is an outstanding leader and was recognized in 2023 as public school baseball coach of the year by the Greater New York City Sandlot Athletic Alliance. He has been one of our directors in Brooklyn since 2010.
 
Brian creates a teaching environment where players focus on technical proficiency and giving full effort. We believe in volume repetition drills for ground balls, fly balls and long batting practice. Our motto since day one has been “Talent is What You Have, Effort is What You Give”.
 
We group by age not ability (7,8,9) and (10,11,12). Each group will Play a game each day.
 
Typical daily schedule:
 
8:00am to 8:30am- Welcome ballplayers, early work ground balls
8:30am- Coach Friedman brief motivation and notes for the day
8:35am- Line up on the base paths, National Anthem
8:40am – Group circle stretch
8:45am: Break into groups for catch, ground balls, fly balls and batting practice.
9:30am- Game One, other group goes to side area for pitching, catching, fly balls and skill drills.
10:20am- Game Two, other group same as above.
11:10am- Last out, grab all equipment, rake the fields out, pick up every piece of trash, meet on bleachers.
11:30am- Coach Friedman wrap up comments and check out.
 
Camp size will be limited, once a week fills up, that week will be closed to registrations.

Tuesday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 11:30 am – There is early drop-off as early as 8:00 am as a courtesy to our parents.  Camp will start each day at 8:30 am.

We will have camp on July 4th

Costs:

  • First child: $150 for week (Tuesday to Thursday)
  • Second child (sibling): 50% discount (must register at the same time and the same week as first child to receive the discount)
  • Additional siblings: Welcome as our guest!

 

Registration Instructions

Provide your contact information, people authorized to pick up your child, your child’s information, and the sessions your child will be attending.  Note that fields denoted with an asterisk (*) are required fields and MUST be filled out.
